Founded by native Angelenos and design authorities, interior designer Oliver M. Furth and creative consultant Sean Yashar, FURTH YASHAR & is a unique roving gallery concept for Los Angeles, dedicated to showcasing 21st century collectible design, with the aim of dissolving the polarizing labels that come with it: functional and nonfunctional, fine and decorative.

Created by the multidisciplinary design couple who has championed talent and helped to push the L.A. design dialogue forward over the last decade, FURTH YASHAR & runs in addition to their respective businesses as a platform for showcasing designers and artists who create works that elude categorization. In these works, utility is not viewed as a concession to the commercial, but as a meaningful component of identity, implicitly making the argument that design is the new sculpture.

With a focus on highlighting artists, designers and makers through solo shows—as well as group shows illustrating current dialogue for contemporary design—FURTH YASHAR & serves as a flexible space to receive contemporary international design talent who currently do not have a venue for special exhibitions in L.A.
